Apr. 30--The LPGA SemGroup Championship's move to spring is a calculated gamble that should of little risk.

A big risk came when the LPGA decided to move a regular tour stop to Tulsa in 2001.

The SemGroup Championship opens Friday at Cedar Ridge Country Club. It is the seventh year for the tour stop in Tulsa. SemGroup becomes the third title sponsor for the event.

Whether the event will stay in the spring be determined in the near future.
