They say you can tell a company's seriousness about a project by the quality of the person it appoints to run it.
Netflix is getting serious, very serious, about using the Net to distribute movies, TV shows and other entertainment and information videos. The company, which until now has used the Internet mainly to take orders for the DVDs it send to subscribers by US mail, this week said it has hired Anthony Wood to fill its newly created position of VP of Internet TV.
Wood has founded four companies including ReplayTV, which pioneered the DVR business ...
