UXBRIDGE - Organizers of an upcoming fishing derby hope that area youngsters will fall for the sport - hook, line and sinker.
The first Blackstone Valley youth tournament fishing derby, to be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 5, at the West Hill Park recreation area, will be a true family event, said Jeff LeClaire, chairman of the derby and manager of Fin and Feather Sports in Upton.
The derby is open to children from 3 to 14.
Mr. LeClaire hopes the derby will inspire families to hang out the "gone fishing" sign ...
