Uneasy lies the head, and all that jazz, is a major part of the news business these days. The Village Voice named its fifth new editor in 15 months, and the longtime editor of the New Republic relinquished his ownership stake, though he remains as editor in chief.

The Voice, part of the New Times chain that also owns the Riverfront Times, named Tony Ortega, 43, its new editor.
