Pocahontas

Pocahontas was a daughter of the Powhatan chief. Pocahontas learned English and delivered messages from her father to English leaders such as John Smith. She later married the Englishman John Rolfe, who took her to England where she met King James I. At 22, she died on a ship headed back to Jamestown.
