JAMIE WYETH still has his box.
It's shaped like a refrigerator, slightly larger and lying sideways. Made of weathered plywood, open on one side.
Wyeth climbs into it to hide from tourists while he's painting outdoors on Monhegan Island.
"It works very well," said Wyeth, speaking earlier this week from Maine. "It's a fish bait box. It's pretty strong-smelling. So if they do come close to the box, they get a whiff and rush on, which is perfect."
