Ares Software's $295 Font Chameleon 1.0.1 lets users create high-quality renditions of many popular fonts from master serif and sans-serif outline files. It can render Avant Garde, Bookman, Garamond, Helvetica, Univers and many other faces. The master faces used to build characters are called 'font descriptors' and are binary files that can be moved between the Mac and other platforms.
