Apr. 8--Texas musician Stacy DuPree celebrated her 18th birthday indie-rock style. When she was in southern California last fall recording with Omaha band Bright Eyes, lead singer Conor Oberst surprised her with a birthday cake. "He was really warm," said DuPree, of indie pop band Eisley, of Oberst. "He's super cool, really chill." DuPree, with her older sister and fellow Eisley member Sherri DuPree, is among nearly three dozen guest musicians who appear on the new Bright Eyes album, "Cassadaga."
