Salina, Kan., Planning Commission OKs rezoning request for car lot.

Apr. 4--For the second time in four weeks, the Salina Planning Commission on Tuesday voted to approve a request to rezone a former gas station at Claflin and Ninth to allow Fast Lane Auto Sports to open a car lot.

The planning commission had voted on March 6 to make the same recommendation of approval to the Salina City Commission, which has the final say in such matters. On March 19, the city commission voted 3-2 to deny to request for zoning change, but it needed a 4-1 vote to overturn the planning commission's recommendation.
