Q. After reading your suggestion to Master Chief Bob Hendricks concerning your thought of planting Centipede grass to solve his problem, I believe you have lead him down a primrose path.
Centipede grass (Eremochloa ophiuroides) is not suited for a turf grass in Hampton Roads. We have acidic soils for the most part and Centipede likes a 5.0 to 5.5 pH for best results when growing under ideal conditions - plus sandy soil, full sunlight and air drainage. Most centipedes wil...
