MELBOURNE, April 2 Asia Pulse - Shares in credit checking firm Veda Advantage Ltd (ASX:VEA) jumped more than seven per cent today after its independent directors endorsed a $A814 million ($US658.16 million) takeover offer from a private equity group.
If shareholders agree, Veda, formerly Baycorp Advantage, will be taken into private hands and delist from the Australian stock exchange.
Key stakeholder Allco Equity Partners Ltd, which holds 17.3 per cent, said it would vote in favour of the offer, barring a higher bid or a significant change in market ...
