SAN JOSE, Calif. _ Every team Mike Keenan has coached in the NHL has advanced to the finals of the Stanley Cup playoffs at least once.

It's no wonder, then, that hopes in St. Louis are soaring now that Keenan has taken over as coach and general manager of the Blues.

``The expectations are very high,'' Keenan said during a conference call with Bay Area reporters Wednesday. ``I think that's something we can thrive on.''
