Mar. 20--KINGS MOUNTAIN -- It's an adage almost as old as baseball -- hitting is contagious.
It certainly seemed that way for Shelby Monday night.
After stranding nine through the first six innings, the Golden Lions erupted for five runs on six hits in the top of the seventh to pull away from the host Mountaineers, 8-3 in a Southwestern 2A/3A Conference contest.
