THE Gobi Desert is a harsh, unforgiving place. Trying to eke out an existence on the harsh Mongolian wilderness is a tough task even for the locals.
So running a 140-mile ultra-marathon across the deep ice gorges, huge mountains, barren plains and giant sand dunes sounds crazy.
But that's the task being undertaken by a superfit bunch of Scots, for whom running a normal marathon just isn't enough.
