WATERBOYS legend Mike Scott has had an emotional reunion with the father who abandoned him as a boy, the Irish Sunday Mirror can reveal.

The singer was left a vulnerable wreck after his dad Allan left the family home when he was just 10 - but decided to find him down to find out why.

Mike simply turned up on his dad's doorstep after tracking him down to a house near Birmingham, England, where he was living with a new wife, son and daughter.
