"Notes on a Scandal" is definitely a film to take note of, thanks to riveting performances by Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett in cleverly defined roles. The movie might have been even more noteworthy, however, had the dynamics of the scandal itself carried some electricity and felt truly scandalous.
