Gang intervention: police and school collaboration.

The Cleleveland Police Dept. has joined forces with the public school system of Cleveland, OH, to minimize the city's youth gang problems. The school system has formed a Youth Gang Unit which collaborates with the Youth/Gang Unit of the police department in cases involving school rule violations and gang crime. The units assist each other in conducting patrols and in gathering information on gang members and activites.
