The novel's value is an accepted part of education and common life while poetry is considered too difficult to have more than an educational value. However, poetry is not as difficult as commonly believed, though it is more difficult than novels, and poetry has a greater value in that it absorbs the reader and can become a resource for the mind and emotions. Poetry has ethical as well as aesthetic value while being an inspiration because of its form, efficiency and grace.
