JORDAN: DEPUTIES CALL FOR STRICT MONITORING POLICIES TO CONTROL PRICES OF BASIC COMMODITIES.

According to "Jordan Times", Lawmakers urged the government to enforce strict monitoring policies on the country's markets in order to control prices of basic commodities that have sky-rocketed over the past year. Around 60 deputies took the podium during yesterday's session to express their views on the deteriorating living standards of Jordanians. Some censured the government's economic polices, while others suggested reestablishing the Ministry of Supply.
