So when Suffolk executive Steve Levy suggested to Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi in 2005 that Suffolk might rent some of Nassau's unused sewer capacity at the Cedar Creek treatment plant in Wantagh, the response was unceremonious: Suozzi told Levy he wouldn't allow him to "dump Suffolk's -- in Nassau," sources told Newsday this year.
