Microsoft's new Windows 95 operating system comes very close to duplicating the Mac's ease of use, posing a serious challenge to the Mac and a fundamental problem for Apple. Its Start button has a pop-up menu much like the Mac's Apple menu; Windows 95 also offers hierarchical menus and lists of recently used documents and programs. The movable Task Bar corresponds to System 7's application menu and is visible at all times.
