Mar. 8--Approximately 43,000 unionized Stop & Shop workers in three states will have a new contract or begin walking picket lines Sunday, according to union officials. Brian Petronella, president of United Food & Commercial Workers Local 371, said Wednesday the five locals representing workers in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts have scheduled votes on a new contract for Sunday.
