Emergency care has its first nurse practitioner (NP) with the accreditation of Michael Geraghty (right) from Auckland City Hospital's emergency department (ED).
Geraghty has been working in emergency care for close to 15 years and has been a nurse specialist but is confident he will be employed as an NP in the ED.
