MADISON'S GOLF dome is headed for Indiana.

In what he calls a "bittersweet" ending to a decade-long quest to make an indoor sports facility go in Madison, Rob Muranyi, best known as the head pro at Monona Golf Course, found a buyer for the dome on, of all places, eBay. It will be heading south around the first of April.

The sale is sweet because it relieves Muranyi of the pressure of trying to find a Madison-area home for the dome, which needs to be moved from its current Verona Road-Highway PD location to make way for a new commercial development.
