A historic first!--five Black actors up for 2007 Oscars.(Cover story)

Oscar wins have come in doubles for Black actors in recent years-in 2001 Halle Berry and Denzel Washington took home trophies as best actors for their roles in Monster's Ball and Training Day respectively. And in 2004 Jamie Foxx's Ray garnered him best actor and Morgan Freeman won for best supporting actor in Million Dollar Baby.

But, this year Blacks could very well hit the trifecta! A record-setting five actors are in the running for the coveted statuette, and three of them could take the spotlight clutching the big prize on Feb. 25.
