Abstract

This study aimed, firstly, to determine whether 22-day and 9-day courses at Outward Bound New Zealand (OBNZ) enhanced participants' personal and interpersonal development and, secondly, to develop a greater understanding of how the outcomes were achieved. A mixed methodology was used involving a self-concept questionnaire and semi-open-ended written responses six months after the end of the courses.
