When a set of old dog tags are washed up on a beach in Co Antrim, former spook Jack Valentine is reluctantly drawn in to a violent confrontation with hated black Ops colleagues from his spying past who are attempting to cover up a failed mission to insert deadly nerve gas into Iraq to bolster US and British claims that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.

The non-stop action is centred on the little fishing village of Kilkeel in Co Down, and the plot involves Eastern European illegal immigrants and trafficked sex workers.
