Feb. 21--PROVINCETOWN -- The town's economy appears stable, the tourism industry may be in transition, and the decline in the winter economy is likely related to factors such as the cost of year-round housing.
Those are some of the preliminary conclusions from an economic study sponsored by the town's Economic Development Council and prepared by Mt. Auburn Associates, a Somerville-based economic consulting firm.
