Soft-spoken, humble, polite and deferential, Jake Shimabukuro is an unlikely pop star. But he's being called the Jimi Hendrix of the ukulele.

The 30-year-old does have some of the Hendrix rebelliousness in him. He breaks the rules and astonishes people with his ukulele interpretations, in genres ranging from rock to jazz. He was being a little naughty when he sat on a bench in Strawberry Fields in New York City's Central Park and played his version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."
