Feb. 16--On the banks of Fort Loudoun Lake near downtown Knoxville, Marathon Petroleum Co.'s asphalt terminal relies on Tennessee River barges for its supply.

One barge brings in 756,000 heated gallons of the sticky petroleum product used in paving projects.

"If it was all by truck, that's 130 trucks that would have to be rolling in and out," said Rich Walker, the terminal manager.
