Feb. 16--A federal grant and money from the Guadalupe Blanco River Authority will pay for about 689 acres of land to add to the 147,377 acres now held in conservation in the Guadalupe River Delta. The grant of $398,637 was the only one granted in Texas by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 2007. The program for the conservation of coastal wetlands includes 25 projects in 14 states, said Todd Votteler, executive director of the Guadalupe-Blanco River Trust.
