The Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) is a vital new element in the Navy's role in the global war on terror. The establishment of NECC in January brought the manning, training and equipping of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD); Naval Coastal Warfare; Riverine; Combat Camera Atlantic; the Expeditionary Combat Readiness Center; Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support functions; the Maritime Civil Affairs Group and the Seabees under one umbrella.
