Feb. 12--WALNUT CREEK -- The public can purchase United Service Organization, or USO, care packages for troops Tuesday as part of a national tour seeking to send 10,000 packages this year. The packages, which are the only care packages sanctioned by the U.S. Department of Defense, cost $25 and contain about $75 worth of merchandise, such as phone cards, disposable cameras and toiletries.
