The European People's Party (EPP), and its think tank, the European Ideas Network (EIN), gave a general overview of its thinking on energy at a seminar on Europe's Energy Challenge,' with some 150 people in attendance. Notable participants at the 7 February seminar were former Belgian Prime Minister Wilfried Martens, President of the EPP, European Energy and Environment Commissioners Andris Piebalgs and Stavros Dimas and Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Jacek Saryusz-Wolski and new EPP Group Chair Joseph Daul.
