The Manlius Town Board likely will vote on designating the Onondaga Escarpment a critical environmental area after a public hearing on the proposal Feb. 14.
"It's my intention to vote" on the measure, said town Supervisor Hank Chapman , after the board set the hearing date.
Chapman said he prefers the board vote on issues after public hearing "so the public can see us vote."
The vote could be delayed, however, if board members feel they need more time to consider issues brought up at the hearing.
