LOS ANGELES _ It was the getaway the Clippers sought, momentum for their longest excursion of the season.

The team leaves Thursday for a 12-day, seven-game trip on a positive note.

What looked like it might become another fourth-quarter meltdown Wednesday night at Staples Center was staved off by the magnificent play of third-year guard Shaun Livingston, who led the Clippers to a 110-98 victory over the Chicago Bulls.
