John Gray's critique of liberalist thought correctly points out many of the limitations of contemporary liberalist theories, but fails to recognize possible solutions. A contextualized approach to liberal thinking that takes into account institutions and the more subtle influences on decision making is needed. A multicultural society does not allow for out-dated liberalist notions that pretend liberalism is as a set of values handed down from god.
