Branscombe (England): After Marilyne Simony's boyfriend had to return to South Africa, she packed a suitcase full of his books, photographs and clothes to be sent to him via a shipping company.

It was dispatched from her home in Devon, went via Felixstowe to Antwerp and was loaded into a container on the Napoli destined for South Africa.

Then, six weeks later, it washed up on a beach just 3km from where she had sent it.
