Jan. 26--For three decades, Frances Boden shared her endless energy with students at San Tomas Elementary School in Campbell and later Rolling Hills Middle School in Los Gatos. Among her first students was Candice Lawson Leigh, a fifth-grader at San Tomas when Ms. Boden began teaching there in 1956. "Fran created such a positive atmosphere in her classroom," Leigh said.
