We may be in the thick of New York's trout fishing season, but to Tommy Trout it's just another vacation for a traveling public-relations fishmonger.

Tommy Trout is the spokesfish for Clear Springs, based in Buhl, Idaho, the world's largest producer of rainbow trout. Last year the company shipped more than 17 million pounds of the 14- ounce rainbows.

The latest dispatch from Tommy Trout describes his recent trip to the south, "from riding a bucking bronco in Abilene to paddleboating on the Mississippi."
