Chemical Properties of Water

When water boils at 100 degrees Celsius (Cel-si-us), it turns from a liquid to vapor (va-por). When water gets very cold (0 degrees Celsius), the water turns into a solid (sol-id), or ice.

The water cycle, known also as the hydrologic (hy-dro-log-ic) cycle, is the continuous (con-tin-u-ous) movement of water from the oceans to the sky and back to the oceans.
