It seems only fitting that the Adirondack Red Wings and Sherbrooke Canadiens should meet in the Calder Cup semifinals starting at 2 p.m. today.

Not only did the teams take turns winning the last two American Hockey League championships, they were the best of the rest in the Northern Division this season.

"Adirondack had a great start and we had a great finish," said Sherbrooke coach Pierre Creamer.

The Canadiens' 14-game unbeaten streak at the end of the season enabled them to move past the Wings into first ...
