Deputy William Beebe of the Harford County (Maryland) Sheriff's Office was killed when his cruiser left the road in Abingdon, Maryland, the night of November 27.

The deputy was responding to assist other deputies on an attempted suicide call around 11:30 p.m., when his vehicle traveled close to 60 yards down an embankment and came to rest in a shallow creek bed.
