School dedication pays honor to Batalla.

Jan. 22--BRIDGEPORT -- The Cesar A. Batalla Elementary School was officially dedicated Sunday with song, a few tears and word that Harding High School Principal Hector Sanchez may become the new school's principal.

Sanchez, standing in the back of Batalla's crowded school auditorium during the two-hour ribbon-cutting ceremony, said he is hoping to be named to the post as soon as today.

The Board of Education personnel committee will meet at 6:15 p.m. today in front of a full board meeting at 7 p.m. at the Aquaculture School.
