ST. JOHN'S, Newfoundland -- Archbishop James MacDonald has given notice to the provincial government that the Catholic church is going to challenge the constitutionality of a plan aimed at abolishing all denominational schools in Newfoundland -- a move some say could set a precedent for Catholic school systems across Canada.
