BALLSTON - Robert "Bob" Wilson has been an avid fisherman since he was 5 years old. At 8, he owned his first boat. During college breaks, he worked six-day weeks on the crew of a 60-person fishing boat.
"What do you think I did on my days off? Fished," Wilson said.
So it makes sense that Wilson, who was general manager at the Times Union for 15 years, would look to a fishing career after retiring in January.
