THE National Lottery is by far the most preferred form of gambling by problem gamblers, with more than 80% choosing it before slots, horses and other games, according the latest National Prevalence Study into Gambling and Problem Gambling in SA.
The report is the third on gambling behaviour and problem gambling in South Africa to have been issued by the SA National Responsible Gambling Programme. The previous reports were carried out in 2001 and 2003. The latest report analyses data gathered in 2005 and involved 3003 respondents.
