The Mushroom Council hosted a luncheon for national magazine editors in New York called "Umami Goes Mainstream with Mushrooms" in September. The goal of the event was to encourage editors to share mushroom flavor and nutrition trends with their readers, increasing the purchase and use of mushrooms in everyday dishes.

Editors from some of the most popular magazines in the country including Good Housekeeping, Family Circle, Woman's Day, Martha Stewart Living and Food & Wine attended. The large turnout of top media gives the Mushroom Council the potential to reach more than 100 ...
