Bernadette Peters got her show-biz start at the age of 3, appearing on TV's ``Juvenile Jury'' as a girl who wanted to travel in taxicabs instead of on buses.
She still prefers high style -- and with her Broadway, movie and music paychecks, she can probably afford it.
Peters, who recently finished a two-year Broadway run in ``Annie Get Your Gun,'' will sing, joke and dance a little at Proctor's Theatre tonight.
She hopes everyone will dig her scene as much as she does.
