On the first and third Wednesdays of every month, a small group gathers in the parish-center chapel of Annunciation Roman Catholic Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in South Philadelphia. After a short prayer, Sister Diane Simon, who started the group seven years ago, reads the Gospel from the preceding Sunday's Mass.
Then, the members just sit for 20 minutes in absolute stillness, as if warming at the hearth of faith.
